Vigil of Prayer

Between sundown on Good Friday and sunrise on Easter, we will fill each half-hour with prayers of the people. Rooted in the tradition of keeping vigil in church sanctuaries that rose from the practice of keeping vigil and waiting for it to be time for the rite of burial, we too sit and keep vigil together @ home this weekend. Between Good Friday and Easter morning, we're hoping that each half an hour someone from our community collective can be holding vigil space. Someone from Storyline, or Milwaukie Lutheran, or the Fransiscan Spiritual Center... all keeping proverbial sanctuary space together.

Choose a time, by signing up HERE.

During your 30 minutes, light a candle, and hold space for the prayers of our community and our world. Guidance can be found HERE IN THE SIGN UP FORM.

Together as community, we hold vigil for all our grieving. All our loss. All our struggles. And all our hopes.
