The Road to Emmaus Coloring Sheet |
Family Craft:
This craft is a little more hands-on, and with younger kiddos will require parent help! But it's a great way to tap into your kids creativity! It's also a great way for them to visualize what happened with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, something that was right in front of them was hidden from them, until, suddenly, it wasn't!

Look Again Activity |
Activity Follow Up Reflection:
Sometimes, the thing we most want to see, that thing that we are really hunting for, is right in front of us, hiding in plane sight! But a lot of the times we miss it, because we don't know where to look or we are too busy, too rushed, or maybe even too excited. Sometimes we may not even know what we are looking for until we find it! The disciples on the road to Emmaus were friends of Jesus, they missed Jesus and hope that the would be the one to save them, but they still didn't recognize Jesus when he was right in front of them. And even though they had even heard stories that Jesus may be alive again, they didn't even think to look for him. They did not know to look for the resurrected Jesus, kinda like how we sometimes don't know where to look for Jesus.
Sometimes to notice things, we need to look again, to take our time and pay attention.

Question for the Family:
- What did it feel like looking for all the things when you only had 60 seconds. Did you feel rushed? Excited? Stressed?
- Was it harder or easier to look for things the first time or the second time? Why?
