Advent 2025
Advent is a season of dissonance: light and darkness, grief and joy, pain and loss that gives way to life and the birth of something new. Many of us feel the dissonance of the season, the slow, cold, hibernation that this season calls for battles with the demands of gatherings, shopping, and consumerism. In this season of Advent, we will walk toward that dissonance together and wonder what our ancient texts have to tell us about what happens when that dissonance awakes in us, what it might be preparing for us, and how we navigate moving forward in the midst of that dissonance.
