For years now, Storyline Community has sought to understand the story of our housing experience here in Clackamas County. We've engaged in listening and conversation around the factors that have created the house crisis facing our community at both state and local levels, regardless of where you might find yourself on the spectrum of housing availability.
Out of this work, we've accompanied local congregations discerning use of their land for affordable housing (with our partners at Leaven Land and Housing Coalition), advocated for transitional housing through Project Turnkey, defended the Wichita Center's vital services against eviction, and raised awareness at the state legislature for Youth Emergency Housing Assistance (YEHA). And we've continued to listen deeply to service providers, people experiencing housing instability, and countless neighbors just like you. If you have a housing story, we'd love to hear it.
Below is our housing story presentation, originally created in 2022.
